It's been a great weekend. And hopefully it was for you as well. Like you didn't do anything like this:
|This never will get old.|
Because if a Barbadian cannot murder rich white people in a vinyl dress while looking perfect, then i ask you, "What kind of country do we live in here people?"
USA! USA! USA!
Bitch better have her money indeed, America. Indeed.
It may have been 11 years since their last album, but their newest song reminded me of one important thing: The world is better with these sloppy bastards around. Sounding like a spiritual Clash successor, and stumbling around Thailand's redlight district, it sure is good to have ol' Pete Doherty back. Even if he looks like he is on the verge of imploding at any moment in a sea of heroin and bad ideas.
David Banner f/ Big K.R.I.TMississippi's two most important rappers converge for a song and much like their own solo careers respectively, they do not disappoint. Bonus points for the outro transition into some sort of orchestral movie score.
Jack U f/ Justin Bieber
My own personal Song of The Summer™ is back with a music video, so I have another chance to put Diplo, Skrillex, and Justin Bieber in your ears completely un-ironically. I know, it surprises me too, but damn this is a good song. On top of that it is a great idea for a video, so there's that too.
Big Sean f/Chris Brown & Ty Dolla $ign
The 90's are still cool. Whoomp! -There it is. (Also, forever and always fuck Chris Brown)
And the Oscar for DIY video directing goes to...
On An On
No pretense here, no posturing. Just a really slick new song from a band that knows not to trumpet it's slickness. Great stuff.
There you go America. Blow some more shit up today. You don't want leftover fireworks teasing you.
See you next week.
